
Jazmine is a Philadelphia native is a native of Philadelphia, and was raised there. Pam, her mother was a former backup singer for Philadelphia International Records. In the early age of five her father was appointed as the curator of Strawberry Mansion Section. Strawberry Mansion Section. Her family eventually moved into this historical structure. In 2005 she graduated from Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts as the vocal music major. Sullivan started singing in the school's chorus in the contralto position, later she joined the adult choir a few years further on. Sullivan experienced only a small amount of secular music. She recalls that she was 11 when someone asked her to sing solos at church. However, she was not enough yet to be ready. Then, McDonald's held a contest for kids in big cities. I had the opportunity to sing "Accept what God allows" on It's Showtime At the Apollo. And the crowd responded very well. She was just 13 when she sang along with Stevie Wonder for his grandson's birthday. Sullivan had signed her first contract with Jive Records when she was 15. It was her first time signing with Jive Records when she was fifteen. The singer-songwriter produced an entire album. However, this album was never released. Sullivan was eventually dropped off the record label. Her work had been in good connection and Missy Elliott. Elliott produced numerous tracks for her which included "Backstabbers" that was written by Timbaland.
